Acceptable Use Policy

You are responsible for

When You use the Services, You are responsible for:

• Keeping Your login credentials safe and preventing unauthorised access to Your account.
• Notifying the Provider without undue delay by email to contact@ontoscompile.com if You become aware of any actual or suspected unauthorised access to, or use of, Your account or the Services.
• Ensuring that You have the necessary rights, licences, and permissions to submit (third-party) content to the Services as Input, including financial administrations, XAF audit files, prior-year annual reports and filings, client data, and any Personal Data contained in those source documents, and that such use does not infringe the rights of any third party.
• Evaluating the accuracy and completeness of any Output generated by the Services, including compiled annual reports, publication documents, RGS and taxonomy mappings, validation results, the mapping documentation, and any AI-assisted suggestion, before relying on, submitting, filing, or otherwise acting on such Output.
• Ensuring that any Output used for statutory filings (including, without limitation, deposits with the Kamer van Koophandel and other SBR-based submissions) has been reviewed for accuracy and completeness by a suitably qualified person, and that any use of the Output for such filings complies with applicable law and with the professional standards that apply to You.
• Making, and recording, the decisions that are Yours to make. The Services suggest and document; they do not decide. Accounting policies, estimates, and the notes to the financial statements are determined by the reporting entity, and the processing steps within an engagement are approved by the accountant. A suggestion produced by the Services is never an approval, and a rolled-forward value never inherits the approval of the year it came from.

You agree not to

You agree that You will not, and will not permit any User or third party to:

• Use the Services to infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any third party, or to submit, store, process, or distribute any content that is unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
• Use the Services to commit or facilitate fraud, including, without limitation, the preparation or filing of financial statements, annual reports, or SBR submissions that You know, or ought reasonably to know, contain materially false, misleading, or fabricated information.
• Transfer, sell, resell, sublicense, share, or otherwise make Your account or access to the Services available to any person outside Your organisation, except as expressly permitted under the Agreement.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, underlying ideas, algorithms, file formats, mapping models, or trade secrets of the Services, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
• Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the Services, or remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices displayed on or in the Services.
• Use any automated means, including bots, scrapers, crawlers, or scripts, to access, extract, harvest, or scrape data or content from the Services, or to circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or volume allocations agreed in the Order Form.
• Use the Services, the Output, or any data derived from the Services to develop, train, benchmark, or improve any product or service that competes with the Services, including, without limitation, any compilation, RGS-mapping, taxonomy-tagging, or XBRL-validation tool.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or impair the integrity, security, or performance of the Services, including by introducing viruses, malware, ransomware, worms, or other malicious code, or by attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, other customers' data, or the Provider's underlying infrastructure.
• Use the Services in breach of any applicable law or regulation, including, without limitation, the GDPR and the UAVG, sanctions and export-control legislation, and the rules and professional standards applicable to Your profession, among them Standaard 4410 and the Verordening inzake de onafhankelijkheid.

Processing of personal data

For information on how the Provider processes Personal Data in connection with the Services, please refer to the OntosCompile Privacy Policy and, where applicable, the Data Processing Agreement entered into between the Provider and the Customer.

Consequences of breach

The Provider may, without liability and without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to it, suspend or terminate Your access to the Services, in whole or in part, if the Provider reasonably believes that You are in breach of this AUP. Where the breach is capable of being remedied, the Provider will, where practicable, notify You and give You a reasonable opportunity to remedy the breach before taking such action.
